Oscar Piastri will keep his P3 on the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix grid following a stewards investigation for impeding Pierre Gasly.

In Q3, Piastri was on a slow lap, and moved from the right of the track to the left at Turn 4, just as Gasly crested Turn 3, leading to a near-miss with the Alpine on a flying lap.

The incident was picked up by the stewards for an alleged impeding, but in their investigations, the stewards found that Gasly himself said he was not impeding, kept 100% throttle and also set his fastest mini-sector as he passed the McLaren.

As such, no further action was taken, with Gasly qualifying 10th, just ahead of Lewis Hamilton in 11th.
