Formula 1 teams are getting their final on-track running of 2023 at the traditional post-Abu Dhabi Grand Prix test at Yas Marina.

The action is a combined Pirelli tyre test and young driver test with the likes of Jake Dennis, who took over Max Verstappen's Red Bull in Free Practice 1 and newly-minted Formula 2 champion Theo Pourchaire both hitting the track.

On-track action is set to conclude for the year at 18:00 local time, 17:00 in the UK, with RacingNews365 on-site and providing any breaking news from the running.

In the morning session, it was Carlos Sainz who clocked the fastest time for Ferrari, nearly a second ahead of Sergio Perez in the Red Bull.

There was a unusual stoppage to the on-track action after a water leak under the hotel, which meant the track needed to be dried, but the session continued on without too much of a hitch.
