Mercedes announced plans to build a 'silicon valley-style' campus of the future as part of a £70 million investment.

Their current factory in Brackley, Northamptonshire will receive an upgrade including marketing buildings, leisure facilities, and restaurants built to improve the working environment within the team.

Part of the reason for the new facilities is down to the increase in staff numbers, which has grown from 350 to around 1,250 in the last ten years.

Team Principal Toto Wolff expects the campus to be a "little village" for Mercedes, which they expect to bring all the benefits from a "silicon valley-style environment."

Chief Operating Officer Rob Thomas and Chief Technical Officer Mike Elliott discuss how the team is building the facility and keeping sustainability in mind.
