The summer break takes place in August for Formula 1 teams, when for 14 consecutive days they shut down their factories as required by the regulations.
During this period teams are not allowed to work on their cars' design, development, or production, including use planning through emails or meetings.
Departments that do not directly affect the performance of the car, including marketing, are permitted to continue as normal within the rules.
But how do teams prepare for shutting down their operations for two weeks? It requires a huge amount of work behind the scenes.
