Video: Verstappen swaps F1 car for huge Red Bull sailboat

Max Verstappen has briefly traded his F1 car for a huge Red Bull sailboat in a new video released by the team.

Over the Spanish Grand Prix weekend, Verstappen visited the Alinghi Red Bull Racing America's Cup team to gain an insight into their sport as they prepare for the famous sailing competition.

The squad are using Red Bull Advanced Technologies as part of their preparations, which uses F1-developed expertise in aerodynamics, composites, software and simulation.

Verstappen and Red Bull Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey paid a visit to the sailboat, with skipper Arnaud Psarofaghis teaching Verstappen the tricks of the trade.

"I loved it. Getting all the explanations, all the technical stuff, it's always nice for me to understand a bit more about it," Verstappen explained.

"It's really cool to see how much effort is going in to it, how professional it is, and for me also to be in the water and see the boat. It's very nice."
