Daniel Ricciardo visited the McLaren Technology Centre earlier this week as the team reflected on their sensational 1-2 finish at the Italian Grand Prix.

After group celebrations, Ricciardo had an emotional moment as he placed his winner's trophy next to Ayrton Senna's from the 1993 Australian Grand Prix at Adelaide, a race that Ricciardo attended as a child, and marked Senna's last victory and podium finish in F1.

Ricciardo recently spoke of his excitement over the bonus McLaren had promised him if he finished on the podium – a drive in Dale Earnhardt's No3 Chevrolet, which features in team boss Zak Brown's extensive collection of historic road and racing cars. He also explained how special it felt to become a Grand Prix winner with McLaren, given team's history with Senna. "I think McLaren, I think Senna," he admitted post-race at Monza.

In the video posted by McLaren on social media, Ricciardo can be seen placing his trophy next to Senna's, before commenting: "I'm probably going to walk away before I start sobbing like a baby..."
