Red Bull have teased Valtteri Bottas with a tongue-in-cheek tweet at the Finn's expense, following his limp defence against Max Verstappen early in the Russian Grand Prix.

Bottas started the race ahead of Verstappen on the grid, following an engine penalty after his one-race-old power unit from Monza reportedly developed an issue.

Undoubtedly told to make life difficult for Verstappen if they encountered each other on track, Bottas was powerless in defence against the Red Bull as Verstappen overtook at the end of the back straight.

Red Bull have tweeted about the overtake, implying that Bottas made the move as easy as if it had been a team order.

Sharing a video on Twitter, Red Bull used the caption, "Valtteri, it's Max", a reference to a radio message from Mercedes' strategist James Vowles to Bottas at the same race in 2018 telling him to get out of the way and cede position to Lewis Hamilton.
