McLaren have ticked off a key milestone in preparation for the 2023 season: the first engine fire up.

In what has become a traditional part of the preseason programme, McLaren have shared a video of the first recorded fire up of their 2023 car, the MCL37.

In the video, McLaren CEO Zak Brown is joined newly-appointed Team Principal Andrea Stella and McLaren's rookie driver Oscar Piastri as a crowd gather to witness the fire up.

McLaren enters the 2023 season with Piastri joining Briton Lando Norris, who enters his fifth season in Formula 1.

The Woking team will reveal their 2023 car on 13th February.
