Aston Martin completed the next step to getting ready for the 2023 F1 season by completing the shakedown of the AMR23.

The team, based next door to Silverstone, launched their new car on Monday afternoon, with the team hoping it will yield an improvement on their P7 championship result last season.

In the hands of Lance Stroll and new arrival Fernando Alonso, the AMR23 was given its first laps of the shortened Silverstone track, which was in a damp condition for much of the cold day.

Under the watchful eye of father and team owner Lawrence, Stroll completed 17 laps of the track, with Alonso adding another 16 laps before reaching their 100km 'filming day' allowance.

In our tech analysis, it was described as a 'strange' car owing to its mixture of design features. You can also check out the gallery of the AMR23 here.
