Lance Stroll has been handed a penalty and points on his licence for a "dangerous manoeuvre" during the Brazil Sprint.

The Aston Martin driver was penalised for his part in an incident with teammate Sebastian Vettel, who he forced off the road when defending a position.

On Lap 9, Vettel's attempts to pass Stroll on the approach to Turn 4 were rebuffed when the Canadian edged him off the road.

As a result, the stewards have handed Stroll a 10-second penalty, and three points on his superlicence, bringing his penalty point total up to 8 out of a possible 12.

Stroll drops from P12 to P18 in the race classification as a result.

The steward's verdict read:

"The Stewards viewed video evidence and determined that Car 18 driven by Stroll deliberately drove to the left after Turn 3, driving car 5 off the road in a dangerous manner."
