Ferrari Motorsport Director, Laurent Mekies, says he is unable to confirm the true severity of the damage caused by Carlos Sainz's crash with Sergio Perez.
Sainz hit the Red Bull of Perez during the final moments of qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix, in an incident that brought out the red flag with just 30 seconds left on the clock.
Perez had collided with the barriers at the entrance to the tunnel by his own accord, just ahead of Sainz, who was approaching quickly from behind and was unable to stop in time despite yellow flags being waved.
The crash meant that Charles Leclerc was able to keep hold of his provisional pole position, and will start his home race from the very front on Sunday.

Mekies says Ferrari will take a look at the car
Sainz will start alongside Leclerc, presuming his car is okay to race after an awkward impact with the Red Bull.
When asked for an update on how much damage has been caused by the impact, Mekies remained tight-lipped as he told Sky Sports: "We'll have to see on that. First of all, it was important to us that Carlos is okay.
"It could have turned out differently. We'll take a look at what's going on with the car in a moment."
