Nyck de Vries has signed with Toyota to drive in its hypercar line-up for the 2024 World Endurance Championship.
de Vries, who lost his AlphaTauri Formula 1 seat after the British Grand Prix will replace Jose Maria Lopez in the #7 machine, with two-time champion and Le Mans winner Lopez moving to a seat in the Lexus GT3 programme.
The other two drivers in the #7 will continue to be Kamui Kobayashi and Mike Conway, while the #8 will remain unchanged with Ryo Hirakawa, Brendon Hartley and Sebastien Buemi.
Both Hartley and Buemi are also ex-Toro Rosso/AlphaTauri F1 drivers, while Kobayashi had spells with Toyota, Sauber and Caterham in Grand Prix racing.
de Vries will also attack a full Formula E season with the Mahindra squad, returning to the series in which he won the 2020/21 title with Mercedes.
Drivers contesting both FE and WEC campaigns is common, with Buemi claiming both WEC and FE titles during his time dovetailing between series.
