Following his impressive debut with Williams at the Italian Grand Prix, Nyck de Vries has emerged as a candidate for a seat at AlphaTauri for 2023.

RacingNews365.com can confirm that the Dutchman was spotted with Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko at his office in Graz this week, after several teams expressed interest in the Formula E and F2 champion including Alpine and Williams.

Since talks with American IndyCar driver Colton Herta collapsed due to him lacking the required points to earn an FIA superlicence, AlphaTauri has looked at de Vries as an alternative to pair Yuki Tsunoda.

Such a move would mean Pierre Gasly would be free to join Alpine, as the team looks for a replacement for the outgoing Fernando Alonso.
