First run in 2004, the Bahrain International Circuit has played host to every addition of the Bahrain Grand Prix in Formula 1. The 5.412km track is no stranger to overtaking, with the wind and ever-changing temperatures challenging drivers as they look for the perfect set-up. The event has been held at night since 2014.

The first running in 2004 saw Ferrari dominate, with Michael Schumacher getting the better of Rubens Barrichello. While the Scuderia have regularly impressed at the circuit, Mercedes have excelled in recent seasons. Red Bull's Max Verstappen started from pole for the season-opening 2021 event, but it was Lewis Hamilton who got ahead in the race to take victory.
