As is the yearly tradition, all of the FIA's World Champions gathered for a special ceremony in Azerbaijan, Baku to be presented with their trophies and be officially crowned champions.

Max Verstappen and Red Bull were handed their trophies for the F1 Drivers' and Constructors' Championships, but a special fan-award was also handed for the best bit of action of the year.

The award went to Fernando Alonso, who received the most votes for his overtaking action on Sergio Perez on the final lap of the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Alonso and Perez battled for the final podium spot in the closing stages of the race, when Perez made a late overtaking move into Turn 1 on the penultimate lap. While it briefly looked like Alonso conceded the position, he kept in the slip stream of Perez and managed to retake the position at Turn 4.

What happened later on in the lap was audacious even by Alonso's standards, as he managed to put Perez onto the tighter line through the penultimate corner on the run up to Juncao.

Perez tucked in behind Alonso as they approached the finish line, with the pair separated by just 0.053s at the chequered flag.
